Ranking of colored smokes 2022

Colored smoke, also known as smoke grenades, has been the best-selling type of fireworks in Poland for several years. Few people even remember that colored smoke is also classified as explosive material. Although that sounds alarming, smoke grenades are completely safe as long as they’re used according to the instructions. Colored smoke for weddings If we ask who most often uses colored smoke and for what purpose, there’s only one answer. Colored smoke is most frequently chosen by newlyweds and photographers. Smoke grenades are now used not only for post-wedding photo shoots. Increasingly, colored smoke at weddings is used, for example, when leaving the church as a confetti alternative or during the couple’s welcome outside the reception hall. We have to admit, we’ve seen hundreds if not thousands of photographic compositions with smoke as the main theme. Nothing, however, sets the mood and adds joy to photos like using colored smoke grenades. What else are colored smokes for? Does the fact that colored smokes are most often used for photo shoots mean they’re not useful for anything else? Not at all. Smoke grenades have a very wide range of applications. Staying within entertainment and sports, we often use smoke grenades for ASG and Paintball games. Military or theatrical reenactments also couldn’t do without this type of fireworks. At home, they’re most often used, for example, to scare moles away from the yard or to check the tightness of new ventilation systems. Colored smoke TOP 10 – 2022 Above, you’ve already learned what colored smoke grenades can be used for. Below is our subjective ranking of the best colored smokes available in 2022. As always in our rankings, we selected products with the best price-to-quality ratio. The smokes are not ordered from strongest to weakest, but from those that are the best value for money. Small smoke grenades TXF652 – link The small TXF652 smoke grenades are among the longest-selling smoke grenades in Poland. Although they’re small in size, their smoke time is over 70 seconds, which is a great result in this price range (about 10 PLN each). Available in blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. They’re great for checking installations or for photos where you don’t need huge plumes of smoke at once. The smoke grenades come in five colors: white, blue, purple, yellow, green, and red (which also works nicely as pink). For about 25 PLN you get a smoke grenade that smokes for over 5 minutes, producing fairly intense plumes of colored smoke. It’s great for wedding photos because, thanks to its design, you can hold it in your hand. Available in yellow, red, blue, and green (in another label also white and black). These barrels deliver very quick and intense smoke that lasts for 60 seconds. Pull-ring smokes with handle TXF543 – link These smokes are new in 2022, but they’ve already won our hearts and those of our customers. Why? Thanks to their distinctive design, you can hold them in your hand—a rarity in itself. What’s more, they’re ignited by pulling a ring. Add the low price (about 20 PLN each) and a runtime of over a minute, and you have ideal colored smokes for photos. 5. Colored smoke balls TXF720 – link We wondered whether smoke balls should make this list. However, like it or not, they’re an annual bestseller in the smoke category. They’re not suitable for outdoor photo shoots, but they can be successfully used for product photos where large amounts of smoke aren’t needed. For a pack of 72 balls you’ll pay about 40 PLN. Operating time is about 10 seconds. They’re great for checking small installations or for playing with kids. Why did we choose these among many types? Primarily for the intensity of the colors and the amount of smoke, which is really substantial for balls. 6. Super strong smoke HT131 – link These smokes are classics: big, heavy, and intense. They’re perfect wherever you need lots of dense smoke. ASG, paintball, or reenactments—this colored smoke will handle it. Ignited by lighting a fuse, but you can easily install an electric igniter. Available colors: red, orange, green, blue. 7. Pink and purple smokes for photos TXF658 – link These “Zadymki” are Triplex’s response this year to the demand of the wedding market. Every day you look for smokes in pink—and here they are. Three shades: light pink smoke, dark pink smoke, and purple smoke. Their small size and burn time of about 40 to 60 seconds make the TXF658 “Zadymki” fit perfectly into your photos. These smokes must not be held in hand due to their small size, but they will still provide a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos. 8. Set of 4 colored smokes JFS3 – link This set of four colored smokes from Jorge is also new in 2022. It’s a great combination of price and quality. For just under 30 PLN you get four smoke grenades in blue, green, red, and yellow. Burn time is about 60 seconds, and the smoke is more than enough for small outdoor photos. These colored smokes are suitable not only for photos, but also for playing with kids and checking the tightness of larger installations. 9. Pull-ring colored smokes D1713 – link The D1713 from the Czech importer PyroMoravia is well-known to every ASG or paintball enthusiast. Still, don’t dismiss them if you’re looking for smokes for wedding photos. Available in red, yellow, blue, purple, and orange. Their main advantage—besides the price—is that they’re ignited by pulling a ring. They run for about 90 seconds, generating really dense plumes of smoke. Small smoke grenades JFS1 – link Although these smokes are probably known to every photographer in this country (and likely in Europe), we decided to include them anyway. They’re still among the better colored smoke grenades when you consider their performance and price. For about 10 PLN, you get as much as 40 seconds of dense smoke. Although they shouldn’t be held in hand, they are among the most frequently chosen small colored smokes by customers. Currently available colors are red, yellow, orange, green, blue, and white.
